The fort campground is a beautiful facility with 238 private camp sites catering to all types of campers from the tent camper, to the fifth wheel, to the luxury highway motor home. All the camp sites have electric and water connections, and many have front views of the inland water and direct access to the Gulf of Mexico by boat. To make a camping reservation please contact the Campground reservation system.
The facilities include picnic tables, grills, water, electricity, washers, dryers, sanitary disposal stations, modern restrooms, showers, play areas, and a camp store.

If you prefer to make reservations in person you can visit the Parks and Conservation Resources administrative office at 12520 Ulmerton Road in Largo or call 727-582-2100. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
There is also a primitive Youth Camping Area at Fort De Soto that can accommodate up to 90 people.

Some of the campsites have lovely water views and small water craft can be launched from there. Additionally, there is a large boat ramp just a few minutes from the campground. Protected anchorage for campers at no charge.

WiFi is available at the camp store and office.
